The Role

As our Quality Control Officer, you will serve as the final gatekeeper for our production line. You will oversee the entire production lifecycle, from initial material inspection to final packaging, ensuring that fit, finish, and overall aesthetics align perfectly with our approved specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Material Oversight: Inspecting fabrics, trims, and components before production commences to prevent manufacturing errors.
Process Monitoring: Conducting rigorous checks at various stages of production to maintain consistent compliance.
Defect Identification: Scrutinizing finished goods for stitching errors, measurement inaccuracies, fabric flaws, or finishing defects.
Collaboration: Working hand-in-hand with tailors and pattern makers to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
Documentation: Preparing detailed inspection reports and tracking rework to ensure all alterations meet professional standards.
Procedure Development: Assisting in the design and implementation of new quality control checklists and workflows.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

Education: OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Fashion Design, Textile Technology, Quality Management, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in quality control within the garment manufacturing sector.
Technical Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, and textile properties.
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to meet tight production deadlines.
Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is considered a significant advantage.
