As our Manufacturing, Transformation & System Manager, you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and implementing the core operational systems that will redefine how UNOCASA functions. Key Responsibilities: What You'll Be Doing
- System Development & Implementation: Develop and rigorously implement comprehensive operational systems, policies, and procedures across all manufacturing functions.
- Organizational Design: Establish clear organizational structures, define precise job descriptions, set measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and build robust performance management frameworks.
- Knowledge Management: Create and maintain a centralized manufacturing knowledge base that encompasses industry standards, detailed processes, supplier information, quality protocols, and safety guidelines.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Implement sophisticated product development systems, including 3D design integration, Bill of Materials (BOM) management, accurate costing, stringent revision control, and comprehensive product lifecycle management.
- Digital Costing & Estimating: Develop and deploy a digital costing and estimating system to significantly enhance quotation accuracy and reduce turnaround times.
- Digital Transformation Leadership: Lead ambitious digital transformation initiatives, including the integration of AI-enabled solutions for design optimization, estimating processes, documentation management, and real-time project tracking.
- Quality Assurance: Establish robust quality management systems, detailed inspection procedures, and effective non-conformance tracking mechanisms.
- Health & Safety: Implement comprehensive health and safety policies, deliver essential training programs, and establish efficient incident reporting systems.
- Talent Management: Actively assess, recruit, train, and develop talent within the manufacturing team, while also creating forward-thinking succession plans to ensure continuity and growth.
Who We're Looking For: Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 to 12 years of progressive, hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated, in-depth experience specifically in steel fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing.
- Proven track record in developing and successfully implementing operational systems and procedures.
- A strong background in process improvement methodologies and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Hands-on experience implementing ERP, MES, digital manufacturing, or other business management systems.
- Proven leadership capabilities and a strong history of people-development.
- Exceptional documentation, project management, and change management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in CNC-driven manufacturing environments.
- Lean Manufacturing certification or significant implementation experience.
- Six Sigma or other continuous improvement training.
- Extensive experience with product development and engineering systems.
- Prior experience implementing AI-enabled business solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety systems.
- Experience leading successful transformation or turnaround initiatives.
