The Opportunity: Dimensional Inspector

As a Dimensional Inspector, you will play a critical role in upholding AIG's stringent quality standards across various fabrication and manufacturing stages. Your Impact: Key Responsibilities

In this vital role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Comprehensive Inspection: Conducting thorough inspections of fabricated structures and products at every stage of the production cycle, from initial cuts to final assembly.
  • Process Verification: Performing detailed checks during critical processes such as cutting, stamping, notching, bending, heel cutting, and welding assembly, ensuring adherence to design and quality parameters.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Meticulously maintaining and developing daily inspection reports and comprehensive quality control records, providing clear and accurate data for quality assurance.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Accurately interpreting complex part drawings, structural drawings, and welded assembly drawings to verify product specifications against design intent.
  • Execution of Test Plans: Understanding and executing inspection test plans efficiently, ensuring all required checks are performed systematically.
  • Precision Measurement: Utilizing various measuring instruments effectively and accurately during all inspection activities to gather precise dimensional data.
  • Quality Assurance Collaboration: Actively supporting quality assurance standards and collaborating closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues proactively.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensuring continuous compliance with manufacturing quality plans and industry best practices.

Who We Are Looking For: Requirements

AIG is seeking a candidate who embodies precision, dedication, and a foundational understanding of engineering principles:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Fabrication Engineering.
  • Experience: We strongly encourage fresh graduates to apply. 0–2 years of relevant experience will be considered an added advantage, demonstrating foundational exposure to quality control.
  • Preferred Industry Exposure: Experience or familiarity with Quality Control within sectors such as Oil & Gas, Transmission Towers, Telecom Towers, or Solar Structure Manufacturing will be highly regarded.
  • Essential Skills & Competencies:
    • Solid knowledge of fabrication and inspection processes.
    • Proficiency in interpreting engineering and structural drawings.
    • Familiarity with various measuring instruments and inspection methodologies.
    • A basic understanding of different steel sections and grades.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative teamwork ethic.
    • Excellent coordination and communication skills for effective inter-departmental interactions.
