We are currently seeking a motivated Ukraine Researcher to join our global team. This is a fully remote, entry-level independent consultant opportunity open to candidates from any country with a reliable internet connection. You will be instrumental in the meticulous collection, thorough review, and precise management of data related to political violence and protest events throughout Ukraine.

This consultancy requires a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week, with a preference for availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Please note that operational needs may occasionally necessitate submissions on weekends or multiple times during the week.

Key Responsibilities: Your Impactful Contributions

Systematic Data Collection: Diligently review a wide array of sources, including news articles, reports from international organizations, NGOs, and security agencies, to identify incidents of political violence and protest within Ukraine.
Accurate Data Entry: Precisely record identified incidents into a standardized Excel template, ensuring all relevant details are captured with high fidelity.
Event Coding: Focus on accurately coding events based on ACLED's established methodology, contributing to the integrity and consistency of our global dataset.
Data Management and Review: Actively participate in the ongoing review and management of collected data, upholding ACLED's stringent quality standards.
Adherence to Deadlines: Submit data and reports as required, often multiple times a week, to meet the operational demands of our fast-paced environment.
