About the Role

As a Transport Supervisor, you will be the backbone of our daily transport operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the movement of staff buses, pool cars, and operational vehicles, ensuring that our logistics are executed with precision, safety, and efficiency. You will manage a diverse workforce of 30 to 150+ personnel, requiring strong leadership skills and the ability to maintain industrial harmony.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Execution: Coordinate daily dispatch, validate journey plans, and resolve operational bottlenecks in real time.
Fleet Management: Utilize advanced systems like IVMS, telematics, and maintenance tracking tools to monitor fleet performance and asset health.
Workforce Supervision: Plan driver schedules, conduct performance coaching, and ensure all personnel adhere to professional standards and codes of conduct.
HSE Compliance: Champion a 'safety-first, zero-incident' culture by enforcing defensive driving standards, conducting safety briefings, and overseeing incident investigations.
Cost Optimization: Monitor fuel consumption trends, detect inefficiencies, and ensure strict budget performance in all transport activities.
Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation on vehicle utilization and maintenance, providing structured reports to leadership.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

Education: HND or BSc in Transport Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a relevant Social/Management Science field.
Experience: At least 7 years of total work experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
Analytical Skills: Ability to make on-the-spot decisions, work with minimal supervision, and analyze operational data effectively.
Technical Proficiencies: Strong computer skills and familiarity with fleet management and monitoring systems.
Personal Attributes: Excellent organizational skills, patience, the ability to manage pressure, and the capacity to interact effectively with all levels of the organizational hierarchy.
