Key Responsibilities

As an Ohio-licensed Veterinarian collaborating with Vetster, you will be pivotal in delivering exceptional virtual pet care. Your daily contributions will include:

Conducting Virtual Video Appointments: Engage directly with pet parents through our user-friendly video conferencing platform, offering compassionate and thorough consultations.
Providing Professional Veterinary Advice: Share your expert knowledge to guide pet owners on various health concerns, preventive care, and well-being strategies.
Offering Diagnoses and Prescriptions: Utilize your clinical judgment to accurately diagnose conditions and, where appropriate, issue necessary prescriptions in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Maintaining Comprehensive Records: Document all consultations, diagnoses, treatments, and recommendations diligently within the Vetster system, ensuring continuity of care.
Upholding Ethical Standards: Adhere strictly to the highest ethical and legal standards of veterinary practice, always prioritizing the welfare of the animals.

Requirements

To thrive in this fully remote role within Ohio and join the Vetster community, we ask that you possess the following qualifications:

Current Ohio DVM License: You must hold an active and unrestricted Doctor of Veterinary Medicine license in the state of Ohio.
Good Standing: Be in good standing with the Ohio veterinary licensing board, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence.
Technical Proficiency: Possess reliable access to high-speed internet, a functional computer or tablet, and comfortable familiarity with video conferencing tools.
Exceptional Communication Skills: Exhibit strong verbal and written communication abilities, enabling clear and empathetic interactions with pet parents.
Independent Work Ethic: Demonstrate the capacity for effective independent work, managing your schedule and caseload efficiently.
Exotic Species Experience (Strong Asset): While not mandatory, previous experience with exotic animals such as small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, or invertebrates is highly beneficial due to our specialized partnerships.
