Alternaleaf, a proud part of Montu, stands as Australia’s largest telehealth provider in its specialized field. Since our inception in 2021, we have built a trusted service, enabling over 200,000 patients to easily access alternative care through seamless telehealth consultations with skilled nurses and doctors. This particular role focuses on serving our Western Australian patient base. While you will operate remotely from anywhere globally, provided you can align with Western Australian time zones and strictly adhere to WA prescribing regulations, your impact will be felt directly by patients seeking vital support in WA.

Our doctors are pioneers, merging evidence-based medical practice with forward-thinking approaches. We aim to support thousands of patients nationwide. This fully remote position is specifically tailored for doctors who can commit to late afternoons and evenings, ideally between 3pm and 9pm WA time, with some flexibility to meet patient demands.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional, high-quality consultations across a diverse range of patient presentations and age groups.
Demonstrate comprehensive familiarity with prescribing regulations specific to Western Australia.
Confidently manage Schedule 8 medications within a dynamic telehealth environment.
Conduct thorough clinical assessments, issue prescriptions (both S4 and S8), and facilitate essential follow-up consultations.
Collaborate closely with our supportive and integrated clinical team to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

To excel in this pivotal role, we are looking for candidates who possess:

Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.
Proven experience as a General Practitioner, with a strong commitment to evidence-based practice.
A profound understanding and strict adherence to Western Australian prescribing guidelines, particularly regarding Schedule 8 medications in a telehealth setting.
Availability to work during Western Australian late afternoons and evenings. Our preference is for doctors who can consistently be available between 3pm and 9pm WA time, with some adaptability for evolving patient needs.
