Overview

As our Technical Superintendent, you will assume full responsibility for the technical management of a diverse fleet of Offshore Supply Vessels. This pivotal, fully remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world, allowing you to oversee daily operations, maintenance, repairs, and budgeting. You will act as a crucial link between our vessels, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless technical and operational readiness for every journey.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the overall technical management strategy for a designated fleet of Offshore Supply Vessels.
Oversee daily maintenance and repair activities, guaranteeing our vessels operate safely and efficiently.
Manage budgetary allocations for technical operations, diligently tracking expenditures and ensuring cost effectiveness.
Coordinate and implement survey schedules, maintaining compliance with all regulatory and class requirements.
Conduct thorough onboard general assessments and inspections of vessels to uphold high operational standards.
Plan and supervise dry docking operations, including selecting appropriate shipyards and determining comprehensive repair specifications.
Ensure all assigned vessels maintain technical operational readiness, aligning perfectly with management agreement requirements.
Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, as well as our internal operations and marketing teams, focusing on technical and operational readiness and optimizing vessel performance.
Perform detailed assessments for dry docking, solicit and evaluate repair quotes, and make informed decisions on shipyard selections for necessary repair works, ship maintenance, and class special surveys.
Prepare and submit advance budgetary cost proposals for dry docking repairs and class special surveys to senior management for approval.
Attend vessel dry docking, repairs, and surveys as required, defining precise repair specifications for all maintenance and upgrade projects.
Compile comprehensive post evaluation reports following dry dock completion, detailing works performed, operational budgets, and actual expenditures.
Identify and source innovative technical and operational solutions to enhance fleet efficiency and safety.

Requirements

Proven, significant experience in the technical management of Offshore Supply Vessels or similar marine assets.
A strong background in marine engineering, naval architecture, or a related technical discipline.
Exceptional budgeting and financial management skills relevant to vessel operations.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex maintenance schedules, surveys, and dry docking projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for liaising with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
A proactive, problem solving mindset with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a fully remote, global team environment.
A deep understanding of international maritime regulations and classification society rules.
