Overview

Talan is seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to take the helm of our Data Archiving & Migration efforts. This senior, fully remote role, open to talent worldwide, places you at the heart of a significant organizational transformation. You will orchestrate the assessment of a complex legacy data landscape, design a strategic archiving solution, and lead its implementation. Furthermore, your expertise will be vital in supporting a large-scale data migration, coordinating essential technical activities across various systems and data flows. It's a chance to leverage your 5 to 6 years of experience in technical project management within a dynamic, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Data Archiving workstream, guiding a small team of Business Analysts.
Oversee the comprehensive assessment of the organization’s legacy data estate to identify archiving needs and opportunities.
Define the precise scope and detailed requirements for a strategic data archive solution, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Collaborate closely with internal data engineering teams, diverse business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers to ensure successful solution delivery.
Drive the implementation of the defined data archiving solution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
Provide expert technical project management support for a major data migration workstream.
Coordinate all ancillary technical activities necessary for successful data migration across surrounding systems and downstream data flows.
Identify and proactively mitigate project risks, manage dependencies, and resolve issues as they arise.
Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to senior leadership and stakeholders regularly and transparently.

Requirements

Approximately 5 to 6 years of experience in technical project management.
Proven background in data delivery, data migration, data archiving, or leading large-scale transformation programs.
Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end project delivery, particularly within data-centric environments.
Experience managing and mentoring small teams, such as Business Analysts, is highly valued.
Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance principles, and data lifecycle management.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with technical teams, business users, and external partners.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, risk identification, and mitigation.
