This pivotal role is ideal for an individual with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of aviation maintenance, and a commitment to ensuring operational excellence and safety. As a Technical Planner, you will be instrumental in optimizing our maintenance schedules, ensuring our fleet remains in peak condition and compliant with all regulatory and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Technical Planner:
- Strategic Maintenance Planning: You will be responsible for the meticulous planning and scheduling of all aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and minimal disruption to flight operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor aircraft flight hours, cycles, and maintenance due dates, implementing preventative measures and timely interventions.
- Inter-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate closely with our Engineering and Flight Operations departments to synchronize maintenance schedules, ensuring seamless operational flow and effective communication.
- Documentation and Work Packages: Prepare comprehensive maintenance work packages and maintain accurate technical documentation, critical for operational transparency and compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Uphold and ensure strict compliance with Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) regulations and all manufacturer requirements, prioritizing safety and airworthiness above all else.
- Tracking and Reporting: Diligently track Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and manage deferred defects, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to all safety mandates.
What We're Looking For:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree or HND in Aircraft, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is essential.
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in aircraft maintenance planning or technical records within the aviation industry.
- Regulatory Acumen: Strong knowledge of NCAA regulations and established maintenance planning principles is required.
- Technical System Proficiency (Added Advantage): Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as AMOS, TRAX, OASES, CAMP, or similar platforms will be a significant advantage, demonstrating your ability to leverage modern tools.
- Aircraft Specific Experience (Added Advantage): Prior experience working on Embraer aircraft will also be considered a valuable asset.
