We're searching for a dedicated and inspiring Team Lead to take ownership of our core product initiatives on Android. Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a talented team of Android engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring high performance.
Drive the technical vision and strategy for the Android core product, aligning with Speechify's broader mission and product roadmap.
Own the end to end delivery of key features and improvements, from concept and design through development, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver exceptional user experiences.
Architect scalable, maintainable, and robust Android solutions that set new standards for quality and performance.
Champion best practices in code quality, testing, and development processes within the team.
Actively contribute to the codebase, leading by example and solving complex technical challenges.
Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent, expanding our world class team.

Requirements

At least 5+ years of professional experience in Android development, with a strong portfolio of shipped applications.
Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams or significant project initiatives.
Deep expertise in Kotlin and Java, Android SDK, and best practices for modern Android development.
A strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns, performance optimization, and robust error handling.
Proven ability to translate product requirements into technical specifications and deliver high quality solutions.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, essential for a fully distributed team.
A passion for mentoring and developing engineers.
Experience working in a fast paced, agile environment.
