Role Overview
The Structural Engineer will serve as a pivotal technical lead, responsible for the end-to-end design, rigorous analysis, and supervision of structural works. You will ensure that every project phase—from initial conceptualization to final site implementation—strictly adheres to safety requirements, engineering codes, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review comprehensive structural designs, intricate calculations, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Perform detailed structural analysis to ensure total compliance with regional and international building codes.
- Provide expert technical support during the critical project planning, bidding, and execution stages.
- Oversee structural works on-site to guarantee absolute adherence to approved designs and safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and proactively troubleshoot structural and construction-related challenges.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Review construction methodologies and material specifications to ensure cost-effectiveness and durability.
- Mentor junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Mandatory: Current COREN registration.
- A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in structural design and site supervision.
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard software, including ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, and AutoCAD.
- In-depth technical knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structure design, and complex foundation systems.
