Overview

As a key member of Gartner’s Corporate Assurance Practice, you will step into a dynamic team dedicated to providing unparalleled insights and actionable advice to General Counsel and other assurance leaders across the globe's largest companies. This role is designed to significantly expand the support and strategic guidance available to these critical executives. We seek an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivation, and a passion for generating innovative ideas to directly serve our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities

Craft Insightful Research: Develop and publish cutting-edge research, delivering best practices and actionable advice to General Counsel on topics such as board governance, comprehensive risk management strategies, and preparing the legal function for future demands.
Advise Executive Leaders: Engage daily with C-level clients, including General Counsel, through phone consultations, video conferences, and potentially live Gartner events, helping them solve their most pressing organizational challenges.
Drive Strategic Conversations: Lead discussions on critical executive skills, advanced risk management techniques, and understanding the evolving landscape of corporate law and technology.
Research and Analyze Trends: Continuously investigate emerging practices, industry trends, and technological advancements relevant to corporate legal departments, integrating these findings into your advisory and research outputs.
Create Value for Clients: Translate complex information into clear, concise, and applicable recommendations that enable clients to enhance their performance and achieve strategic objectives.

Requirements

Significant professional experience (7+ years preferred) in a corporate legal department, a leading law firm, or a relevant advisory role, with a strong focus on legal strategy, risk, or governance.
Demonstrated understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing General Counsel and corporate legal functions.
Exceptional research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, capable of identifying key trends and developing original, data-driven insights.
Superior written and verbal communication abilities, with a proven track record of creating clear, compelling, and actionable content for senior executives.
Strong presentation skills, comfortable engaging with executive audiences in various formats, including one-on-one, small groups, and large events.
Self-motivated, highly organized, and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work independently in a fast-paced environment.
A Bachelor's degree is required; a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
