The Opportunity: Steel Fixer / Iron Bender

We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Steel Fixer / Iron Bender to contribute to our ongoing construction and infrastructure projects. In this entry-level role, you will be instrumental in laying the foundational steel work for various structures, ensuring their strength, durability, and safety. Your precision and skill will directly impact the successful completion of projects critical to our expansion and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Interpreting structural drawings and blueprints to determine steel reinforcement requirements.
Measuring, cutting, and bending steel bars (rebar) to precise specifications.
Assembling and tying steel reinforcement cages and structures according to engineering designs.
Ensuring accurate placement and secure tying of rebar to maintain structural integrity.
Collaborating effectively with other construction team members, including concrete workers and supervisors.
Adhering strictly to all safety standards, regulations, and best practices on site.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Minimum of 3 years of proven working experience in the position of Steel Fixer / Iron Bender.
A Technical College education or other relevant training source, demonstrating comprehensive practical skills and theoretical knowledge in steel fixing.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to precision in all tasks.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Strong understanding of various types of steel and their applications in construction.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform demanding construction tasks.
A team player with good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
