The Role

As a Steel Detailing Draughtsman, you will play a pivotal role in our project lifecycle. You will be responsible for translating complex structural designs into actionable workshop drawings, managing project schedules, and ensuring the seamless execution of fabrication and erection works. You will be the technical bridge between our design office and the factory floor, ensuring all specifications meet our high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed workshop drawings for structural projects, tanks, and warehouses.
Generate and price Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and prepare backup drawings.
Develop project work programs and comprehensive method statements for fabrication and erection.
Coordinate end-to-end project activities, from initial planning to final handover.
Represent the company at site meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and structural engineers.
Prepare interim and final valuations for the company and sub-contractors.
Collaborate with the Factory Manager regarding staff management and project reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: BSc in Engineering, Architecture, or a degree from a recognized technical college.
Experience: 4–8 years of experience as a draughtsman, specifically within the Steel Fabrication Industry.
Technical Proficiency: Expert-level hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Tekla. Familiarity with 3D modeling tools and Microsoft Excel is essential.
Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to interpret complex technical specifications.
Soft Skills: Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet strict project deadlines.

Additional Preferences: Candidates residing in close proximity to Illupeju, Anthony, or Oshodi, Lagos, will be at a distinct advantage. We are particularly interested in applicants who are available for immediate resumption.
