Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software systems and features crucial to CodePath's expanding platform, particularly those supporting our new AI workforce programs.
Architect scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions that will serve millions of learners globally.
Drive technical excellence, setting best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment processes.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other engineering teams to translate ambitious visions into concrete technical roadmaps and deliverables.
Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the stability and security of our educational infrastructure.
Contribute significantly to the hands-on development of critical components, maintaining a deep understanding of our codebase.

Requirements

Significant professional experience as a Staff Software Engineer or in a similar senior leadership technical role, demonstrating a proven track record of delivering impactful software.
Deep expertise in designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable web applications and distributed systems.
Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks relevant to high-growth tech environments.
Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and a strong understanding of cloud-native architectures.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from conception to deployment, including architectural decision-making and technical mentorship.
Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to executive stakeholders.
A strong passion for education, workforce development, and leveraging technology to create massive social and economic impact.
