Our dedicated team of highly technical professionals delivers robust security operations expertise to a rapidly expanding client base across various industries. The AFC is built on three specialized practice teams: Client Engagement, Engineering Operations, and Detection and Response Operations. These teams collaborate seamlessly, guiding our clients toward achieving their security maturity objectives.
As a Sr. Swimlane Turbine Engineer, you will play a crucial role within the Engineering Operations team, upholding Optiv AFC's rigorous processes and procedures. Your work will involve managing and maintaining sophisticated security systems within both internal Optiv and client environments. This position demands close collaboration with Management, Solution Architects, and Principal Security Engineers, ensuring top-tier security solutions are consistently delivered.
This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates located anywhere in the continental U.S. Please note, U.S. Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this position, as per client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex security systems across various client and internal Optiv environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement and enforce Optiv AFC processes and procedures to uphold the highest standards of security operations.
- Design, develop, and deploy automation playbooks and workflows using Swimlane Turbine to enhance security incident response and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Client Engagement, Detection and Response, Management, Solution Architects, and Principal Security Engineers.
- Provide expert level support and troubleshooting for Swimlane Turbine deployments and integrated security tools.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security posture for clients by identifying automation opportunities and recommending strategic enhancements.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to elevate team capabilities and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Stay current with emerging threats, security technologies, and industry best practices, integrating new insights into operational strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Security Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms.
- Demonstrable expertise with Swimlane Turbine, including extensive experience in playbook development, integration with diverse security tools, and platform administration.
- Solid understanding of various security technologies and concepts, such as SIEM, EDR, network security, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
- Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment, preferably within a managed security services provider (MSSP).
- Strong scripting and programming skills, particularly with Python, for automation and integration tasks.
- Excellent problem solving abilities and a meticulous approach to complex technical challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining intricate technical details to both technical and non technical audiences.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, SC-200, or similar are highly desirable.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
