Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, resilient, and secure software systems, driving architectural decisions for critical platform components.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to multiple engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Define and advocate for best practices in software development, including code quality, testing methodologies, deployment strategies, and operational excellence.
Identify and solve complex technical challenges, breaking down intricate problems into manageable solutions and guiding their execution.
Collaborate closely with product management, other engineering leaders, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and approaches that can enhance our platform's capabilities and user experience.
Conduct detailed code reviews, ensuring adherence to design principles, performance targets, and security standards.

Requirements

Extensive experience, typically 8 plus years, in software development with a significant portion in a senior or staff level role, demonstrating exceptional technical depth.
Proven track record of designing, building, and delivering complex, distributed systems in a SaaS environment.
Deep expertise in at least one major programming language and related ecosystems, alongside a strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies.
Strong architectural skills, including the ability to evaluate trade offs, make sound design decisions, and communicate technical vision effectively.
Exceptional problem solving abilities and a commitment to producing high quality, maintainable code.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing engineers.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
