This is fully remote and open to candidates worldwide. You will step in to design the core infrastructure powering our next massive phase of expansion across Africa, reaching millions of everyday earners who lack access to traditional financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a talented group of software engineers across multiple time zones.
Architect and deliver robust loan origination systems, compliance frameworks, and dynamic pricing platforms.
Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and executive leadership to align technical strategy with business goals.
Establish engineering best practices around code quality, scalability, security, and continuous delivery.
Drive technical decision making while balancing rapid feature delivery with long-term architectural stability.

Requirements

Strong background in software engineering with a proven track record of leading high performing technical teams.
Deep experience designing and scaling distributed systems, microservices, and cloud native architectures.
Solid understanding of financial technology, lending platforms, or high throughput transaction systems.
Exceptional communication skills and a passion for developing people as much as building software.
