As part of our team, you will help define the future of physical operations, contributing to an exciting array of product solutions including Video based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As a recently public company, we offer the autonomy and support needed to make a significant impact as we build for the long term. Your role will be pivotal in building the next chapter: an agentic platform that truly understands operational context and takes decisive action, aiming to revolutionize how physical operations are managed. This role is a fully remote position, and while it focuses on our EMEA operations with a B2B contract for Poland, you will contribute to a global vision.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable software components for our innovative agentic platform.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define features and system architecture.
Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to testing, deployment, and operational support.
Implement sophisticated algorithms and logic that enable the platform to understand operational context and execute intelligent actions.
Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of services handling high volumes of IoT data within a distributed environment.
Participate actively in code reviews, sharing knowledge and upholding Samsara's high engineering standards.
Debug and resolve complex technical issues across various components of our distributed systems.

Requirements

Foundational experience in software development, ideally with a focus on backend systems or distributed platforms.
Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C#.
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design principles.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a valuable plus.
Experience with, or a strong interest in, agentic systems, AI/ML concepts, or data processing pipelines.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Eligible to work in Poland on a B2B contract, demonstrating strong self management and autonomy.
