Key Responsibilities

Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines: You will be responsible for creating robust systems that expertly transform raw source data into trusted, meticulously documented datasets. This work spans both batch processing and real-time streaming patterns.
Own end-to-end data quality and observability: This means you'll implement comprehensive monitoring solutions, establish effective alerting mechanisms, develop rigorous testing frameworks, and ensure thorough documentation for all pipelines and data models you create.
Build and evolve our semantic and metric layer: Your work here will involve establishing crucial context and clear guardrails, enabling both human analysts and AI agents to query data with confidence and accuracy.
Architect well-modeled datasets: You will apply best practices from dimensional modeling, Data Vault, or One Big Table principles, focusing on sound grain definition to ensure data integrity and usability.

Requirements

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about data infrastructure and possesses a strong blend of technical expertise and a collaborative spirit.

Proven professional experience as a Software Engineer, with a significant focus on data engineering or data platform development.
Demonstrable experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade data pipelines using both batch and real-time streaming technologies.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Scala, or Java, commonly used in data contexts.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional modeling, Data Vault).
Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and related services (e.g., Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks).
A strong commitment to data quality, observability, and building resilient, well-documented systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
