In August 2026, MaintainX became a proud part of Autodesk, integrating into Autodesk Operations Solutions alongside innovative platforms such as Tandem, FlexSim, and Fusion Operations. This strategic move solidified Autodesk's vision to converge design, make, and operate into one continuous lifecycle, with MaintainX owning the critical 'operate' phase. You will join our Mobile team within the Platform Engineering division, where we treat our internal developer platform as a genuine product. Our mission for this role involves dramatically improving the speed and safety of shipping mobile applications and features for our feature teams, a group of over 150 developers. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity, inviting talent from any corner of the globe to contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain core components and tooling for our internal mobile developer platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Enhance the developer experience for internal feature teams, providing robust frameworks, libraries, and automation that streamline mobile app development.
Implement best practices for mobile application development regarding architecture, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Contribute to defining and enforcing mobile platform standards, security protocols, and performance benchmarks.
Collaborate closely with feature teams to understand their needs, gather feedback, and iterate on platform improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the mobile platform, ensuring smooth operation for all internal users.
Stay abreast of emerging mobile technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential to enhance our platform.

Requirements

Solid experience in mobile application development, ideally with a focus on platform-level contributions or internal tooling.
Proficiency in at least one major mobile development ecosystem (e.g., native iOS with Swift/Objective-C, native Android with Kotlin/Java, or cross-platform like React Native, Flutter).
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
Experience building and maintaining APIs, SDKs, or libraries for other developers.
Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset, comfortable working with diverse teams remotely.
A passion for improving developer workflows and shipping high-quality software efficiently.
