The Software Alliances team at Canonical plays a crucial role in connecting leading software companies with the power of Ubuntu and other Canonical software. We work closely with partners to optimize their products, particularly in areas like AI, creating joint roadmaps, driving delivery, and formulating go-to-market plans. Our goal is to enable differentiated offerings and robust product life cycle support, all anchored to Canonical's best-in-class products. This ensures enterprises benefit from secure, maintained, and validated open source solutions across cloud to edge environments, whether directly from Canonical, embedded in partner products, or accessed via the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with leading software companies to identify and develop strategic partnership opportunities.
Drive the creation and execution of joint product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with Canonical's product strategy and partner objectives.
Coordinate technical integration efforts, working with engineering and product teams to optimize partner products for Ubuntu and Canonical platforms, including AI offerings.
Develop and implement go to market plans, content strategies, and enablement processes to promote joint solutions effectively.
Facilitate robust product life cycle support for alliance offerings, ensuring long term success and enterprise adoption.
Act as a technical and business liaison, translating complex technical challenges into actionable strategies for internal and external stakeholders.
Architect innovative solutions and partnership strategies that leverage Canonical's open source ecosystem from cloud to edge.
Engage with global teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and cross functional collaboration.

Requirements

Up to 7 years of professional experience in a technology, engineering, or product management role.
A strong interest in pursuing a career path in business development and strategic partnerships.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new and complex technical challenges, breaking them down into solvable problems.
Proven capability to architect innovative solutions and develop strategic approaches across diverse global teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with technical and business audiences.
A proactive, problem solving mindset with a desire to drive impactful results.
Familiarity with open source software, cloud computing, and/or AI technologies is a significant advantage.
Ability to thrive in a fully remote, globally distributed work environment.
