Shape the Future of Health Advocacy: Join CHDFNigeria
Are you passionate about using your digital storytelling skills to create real-world impact? The Congenital Heart Disease Foundation of Nigeria (CHDF) is looking for a dedicated and dynamic Social Media & Communications Manager to lead our digital presence and help champion a vital cause.
CHDFNigeria is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and individuals living with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)—commonly referred to as 'Hole in the Heart'—in Nigeria. Our mission is to create a paradigm shift in the current status of CHD through robust awareness campaigns, advocacy, direct support, education, and research promotion. We are seeking a communications professional who understands that true digital engagement goes far beyond simply scheduling posts; we need someone who can spark meaningful conversations, build lasting relationships, and translate online attention into life-changing partnerships and fundraising success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day posting across all official CHDFNigeria social media platforms.
- Develop and execute comprehensive monthly content calendars in collaboration with the Multimedia Team across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
- Actively engage with other pages and accounts through thoughtful comments, replies, and strategic collaborations.
- Identify trending topics, sounds, and conversations early, connecting them naturally to CHD awareness and the foundation's core initiatives.
- Bring creative ideas and high energy to social-media-led fundraising campaigns.
- Engage key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, influencers, policymakers, potential partners, donors, and the broader community.
- Grow follower base and engagement metrics across platforms, utilizing analytics data to refine strategies.
- Lead the Multimedia Team to ensure all communications remain aligned with the foundation's mission and brand voice.
- Identify and nurture online relationships that can blossom into valuable partnerships, collaborations, and financial support.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Holds a degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing, or a Health-related field.
- Demonstrates a proven track record of successfully growing a brand, page, or personal audience with high, measurable engagement.
- Enjoys being visible, interactive, and conversational online rather than just pushing out static content.
- Possesses strong proficiency in tools such as Canva, Meta Business Suite, and social media analytics platforms.
- Is familiar with modern AI content generation and animation tools to streamline creative workflows.
- Demonstrates self-motivation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Brings a deep passion for health, humanitarian work, or non-profit communications (a strong advantage).
- Possesses a medical or health-related background (a strong advantage).
If you are ready to use your creativity, empathy, and strategic marketing skills to give a voice to those affected by Congenital Heart Disease in Nigeria, we would love to hear from you.
