The Role

As a Shift Manager, you will be the backbone of our packing plant operations. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating production and maintenance activities to ensure seamless operations and the achievement of plant targets. Your role is critical in minimizing downtime and ensuring that our production goals are met with precision and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the plant’s maintenance plan and shift production activities.
Supervise engineers and shift operational staff to maintain high equipment availability.
Manage the procurement of machine spares to prevent production disruptions.
Ensure that all routine and corrective maintenance is performed efficiently.
Champion safety by liaising with HSE personnel regarding PPE and safety training.
Maintain a comprehensive database of all maintenance activities.

Requirements for Success:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing setting.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of cement production processes, packing machinery, and maintenance repair techniques.
Leadership: Proven ability to supervise teams, diagnose equipment faults, and solve complex problems under pressure.
Safety Focus: A firm commitment to maintaining high safety standards and operational protocols.
