About the Role

As the Shift Instrument Supervisor, you will be the backbone of our automation and instrumentation systems. You will ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of the 6000TCD milling plant by managing preventive maintenance, responding to technical challenges, and leading a team of maintenance personnel to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Ensure the smooth performance of instrumentation and automation systems to guarantee production continuity.
  • Maintenance Management: Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and provide technical guidance to operating and maintenance staff, fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety standards and statutory requirements across all plant operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and quality control teams to optimize sugar recovery and juice extraction.
  • Inventory & Reporting: Maintain accurate logbooks and ensure the availability of critical spares.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this position, you should possess:

  • Education: A B-Tech, BE, BSc, or HND in Instrumentation or Electronics & Communication Engineering. Professional certification (COREN, NSE) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mill operation and maintenance within the sugar or similar process industries.
  • Technical & Soft Skills: Proficiency in project management, conflict resolution, and effective communication is essential. Candidates should demonstrate integrity, empathy, and strong interpersonal leadership.
