Overview

At emnify, we're revolutionizing IoT connectivity with a powerful, cloud-native platform that empowers businesses worldwide. We’re seeking a Senior UICC/eUICC/eSIM Engineer to join our fully remote, globally distributed team. In this pivotal role, you will champion the engineering, interoperability, and certification readiness of our next generation Consumer eSIM (SGP.22) and IoT eUICC (SGP.32) products, ensuring they meet the highest standards before reaching our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of the engineering and validation processes for SGP.22 and SGP.32 eSIM products, including meticulously reviewing profile designs and transforming product requirements into clear technical specifications.
Develop and implement comprehensive certification and validation strategies using established GSMA artifacts like SAIP and BAP. This involves conducting thorough lab and real-world interoperability testing across a diverse range of devices and mobile networks.
Investigate and expertly resolve intricate cross-domain issues involving SIM, device, and network components. You will provide precise root cause analysis and coordinate effective solutions with internal development teams and external technology partners.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all matters related to remote provisioning platforms, ensuring seamless integration and operation.

Requirements

Demonstrated expertise as a hands-on specialist in UICC, eUICC, and eSIM technologies.
Proven experience spanning the full product lifecycle, from initial technical specification and profile design to rigorous validation and readiness for production.
Strong understanding and practical experience with GSMA specifications, particularly SGP.22 and SGP.32, along with relevant artifacts such as SAIP and BAP.
Ability to define, execute, and oversee complex interoperability and certification test strategies.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of dissecting and resolving multi-layered technical challenges across SIM, device, and network domains.
Experience working with remote provisioning platforms and engaging with external vendors.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
