Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, your day-to-day will involve a range of responsibilities aimed at empowering our customers. Some key areas include:

Lead technical pre-sales engagements, serving as a trusted advisor to prospective and existing customers.
Collaborate closely with sales teams to understand customer business challenges and technical requirements.
Design and present innovative solutions leveraging Grafana Cloud and the broader Grafana ecosystem.
Conduct compelling product demonstrations, technical workshops, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) tailored to customer needs.
Provide expert technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle, addressing complex inquiries.
Gather critical product feedback from customers and communicate insights to our product and engineering teams.
Contribute to the creation of technical content, including whitepapers, presentations, and best practices guides.
Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscapes, and Grafana Labs product developments.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate who brings a strong blend of technical expertise and customer focus. Ideal qualifications include:

Proven experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role, ideally within a SaaS or cloud environment.
Deep understanding of observability concepts, including metrics, logs, traces, and application performance monitoring (APM).
Hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, or other open source monitoring tools is highly desirable.
Strong familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
Ability to autonomously manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced setting.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for helping customers succeed.
Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Japanese is a significant advantage given the role's geographic focus.
Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings or company events.
