Overview

RevenueCat provides the vital infrastructure and tools that enable app businesses to effectively build, run, and improve their monetization strategies. Since our start from YC's S18 batch, we have emerged as the default monetization platform for mobile applications, now integral to over 50% of newly launched subscription apps. We process an astounding $16B+ in annual purchase volume, assisting everyone from independent developers to large organizations like the OpenAI mobile team in understanding and growing their revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust internal tools, platforms, and services that enhance developer productivity and experience across the engineering organization.
Build and scale critical infrastructure and automation solutions, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment systems, and monitoring tools.
Collaborate closely with Devops, Platform, and other engineering teams to identify pain points and implement effective, scalable solutions.
Drive improvements in development workflows, operational efficiency, and system reliability through innovative tooling.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices for software development and operational excellence.
Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of the internal development platform.
Participate in on-call rotation to support internal systems, ensuring high availability and quick resolution of issues.

Requirements

Extensive experience, typically 5+ years, in software engineering, with a strong focus on building internal tools, developer platforms, or DevOps solutions.
Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Ruby, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience implementing automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing engineering challenges.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams.
