The work you develop will directly assist organizations in managing risk, meeting critical regulatory requirements, and operating more securely at scale. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own your work end to end, taking requirements, shaping them into solid technical approaches, building solutions across the full stack, ensuring rigorous testing and stability, and seeing them through to successful production deployment. We expect accountability for the quality and overall outcomes of your deliveries, not merely the lines of code you produce.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement solutions across the entire software stack, from frontend user interfaces to backend services and data layers.
Take full ownership of features and projects, guiding them from initial concept and technical design all the way to production.
Ensure the highest standards of quality, stability, and performance for all delivered solutions through thorough testing and diligent monitoring.
Contribute significantly to customer-facing GRC capabilities, including complex workflows, new compliance features, robust reporting tools, and intuitive user experiences.
Develop and enhance the underlying platform services and APIs that power RegScale's comprehensive offerings.
Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and upholding best practices to elevate the overall quality of our codebase and team output.
Drive technical discussions and decisions, bringing a strong perspective on system design and software architecture.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, typically 5+ years, with a strong track record of delivering impactful software solutions.
Genuine, demonstrable capability at every layer of the software stack: frontend development, backend services, and data management.
A solid understanding of modern software development principles, design patterns, and architectural best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing for clear technical discussions and collaborative teamwork.
Experience working in a remote team environment is a plus, demonstrating self-motivation and effective independent work.
