The Opportunity: Senior Quality Engineer (AI)

Nexaminds is seeking an exceptional Senior Quality Engineer with a deep passion for Artificial Intelligence. In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in defining and implementing robust quality assurance for our cutting-edge AI systems. This includes sophisticated Large Language Models (LLMs), dynamic Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications, and intricate agent-based workflows. You'll ensure our AI solutions not only meet but exceed expectations, delivering unparalleled reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and champion the overall quality strategy for Nexaminds' AI products, spanning the entire development lifecycle.
Design and execute comprehensive test plans for a diverse range of AI systems, including LLMs, RAG applications, and complex agentic workflows.
Establish and maintain rigorous quality gates and metrics specific to AI models, focusing on performance, accuracy, bias, and ethical considerations.
Collaborate closely with AI researchers, data scientists, and software engineers to integrate quality assurance best practices into the core development process.
Implement and manage automated testing frameworks tailored for AI models, ensuring efficient and continuous validation.
Analyze and interpret complex AI system behaviors, identifying patterns, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Drive the adoption of new tools and methodologies for AI quality engineering, staying at the forefront of industry advancements.
Mentor junior quality engineers and contribute to a culture of quality excellence across the organization.
Translate business requirements and user expectations into clear, actionable quality objectives for AI features.

Requirements

Proven deep experience in Quality Engineering, specifically with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence and machine learning systems.
Demonstrated expertise in validating and testing Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications.
Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and agent-based AI architectures.
Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, model evaluation metrics, and common pitfalls.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI development and testing, such as Python.
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, ideally adapted for AI system testing.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices is highly desirable.
Exceptional analytical skills with an ability to debug complex AI behaviors and identify root causes.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
