Overview

Peraton is actively searching for a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to spearhead the successful execution of all projects under contract. This critical role acts as the primary point of contact, orchestrating all work and ensuring seamless communication between our team and the client. Project scopes are varied, potentially encompassing major Contract Implementation and Migration efforts, specialized Agency-specific Implementation and Migration initiatives, and crucial Post-Migration Steady State operations. This is a fully remote opportunity, allowing you to contribute significantly from any location across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between the Contractor and the client for all project-related activities, fostering strong, collaborative relationships.
Oversee the comprehensive planning, meticulous execution, and successful delivery of all projects, consistently adhering to contract terms, budgetary constraints, defined schedules, and available resource allocations.
Direct and coordinate contractor staff and resources strategically to ensure timely, efficient, and highly effective project execution outcomes.
Lead or actively participate in all designated workgroups or committees established by either Peraton or the client, contributing expertise and driving progress as required.
Maintain frequent, precise, and transparent project updates using Microsoft Project or equivalent industry-standard tools, keeping all stakeholders informed.
Ensure that all phases of the project lifecycle are conducted rigorously and according to established project management methodologies, guaranteeing consistency and quality.

Requirements

A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management, demonstrating a strong track record of successful project delivery, preferably within a government contracting or highly regulated environment.
Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception through to successful completion and ongoing operations, including contract implementation and migration.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to senior leadership.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to direct and motivate project teams and manage resources efficiently in a remote setting.
Advanced proficiency with project management software, including Microsoft Project, and familiarity with other enterprise project management tools.
Strong understanding of various project management methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, displaying strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or an equivalent credential is highly preferred.
