Key Responsibilities

Drive Product Vision: Partner closely with leadership, engineering, and other stakeholders to understand complex problems, define product strategy, and articulate a compelling vision for new features and experiences.
Holistic Design Ownership: Lead the end-to-end design process for significant product areas, encompassing user research, ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design.
Strategic Problem-Solving: Act as a product manager and consultant, proactively identifying opportunities, analyzing user needs, and proposing innovative solutions that align with business goals and user value.
Collaborative Execution: Work in lockstep with engineers, translating complex ideas into actionable design specifications and ensuring high-quality implementation. You'll be part of the solution, not just a hand-off point.
Design System Contribution: Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all Ashby products.
Mentorship and Leadership: Guide and inspire peers, sharing your expertise and helping to cultivate a culture of design excellence within the team.

Requirements

Proven Experience: Several years of experience as a Product Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful, shipped products and a clear impact on user experience and business outcomes.
Versatility and Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to seamlessly transition between different facets of product development, from strategic thinking to detailed UI design.
Intrinsic Motivation: A self-starter who thrives in an environment that values autonomy, proactive problem-solving, and a continuous desire to learn and improve.
Exceptional Communication: Superb verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to articulate design decisions, gather feedback, and influence stakeholders effectively.
