This Senior Product Designer role is crucial for advancing our knowledge graph capabilities, helping us map, understand, and visualize the intricate connections within telemetry data. Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design process for features related to Grafana's knowledge graph, from initial concept to launch and iteration.
Conduct comprehensive user research, gathering insights to inform design decisions and validate solutions.
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to define product strategy and deliver high-quality user experiences.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, intuitive, and accessible designs, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the Grafana ecosystem.
Mentor junior designers and actively participate in design critiques, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Present design solutions and articulate design rationale effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

Extensive experience, typically 5+ years, in product design roles, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful, shipped products.
Proven expertise in UX research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
Demonstrated experience designing for complex data visualization or analytical tools; experience with knowledge graphs, graph databases, or observability platforms is a significant advantage.
Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, working autonomously and collaboratively across different time zones.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
A deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience working with engineering teams.
