MaintainX powers operational maintenance for more than 13,000 businesses, including Shell, McDonald's, and Volvo. Our platform manages millions of physical assets and critical work orders every month. We are infusing intelligence into our ecosystem to help teams predict issues, reduce downtime, and get their jobs done faster. You will work across web and native mobile interfaces, converting complex technical workflows into straightforward experiences that technicians and plant managers actually enjoy using.

Key Responsibilities

Your day to day work will involve shaping ambitious concepts and polishing the smallest interface details.

Lead end-to-end design initiatives from initial discovery through launch, targeting our artificial intelligence capabilities across web and mobile platforms
Partner tightly with engineers, product managers, and fellow designers to explore complex operational problems and deliver clean solutions
Conduct qualitative user research and test prototypes with frontline teams to validate interface hypotheses quickly
Define interaction patterns and contribute refined components back to our growing design system
Advocate for user simplicity while navigating the technical constraints and nuances of machine learning workflows

Requirements

We look for candidates who combine exceptional visual craft with analytical product reasoning.

Extensive background designing and shipping software products, showing depth across both mobile and responsive desktop applications
Proven curiosity about machine learning experiences and an understanding of how automated systems affect user trust
Ability to unpack intricate operational data and turn it into intuitive, modern interface patterns
Clear communication skills, comfortable presenting design rationale and collaborating across diverse functional teams
Track record of thriving in self-directed, distributed team settings across different time zones
