Overview

Orcrist Technologies is at the forefront of data intelligence, developing the Orcrist Intelligence Platform (OIP). This robust Kubernetes-based system, available as SaaS or self-hosted, including air-gapped deployments, empowers defense, law enforcement, and enterprise teams. We help them transform vast, complex data into secure, responsible, and actionable intelligence.

As our Senior Product Designer, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end design journey for significant parts of the Orcrist Intelligence Platform. This is a globally remote opportunity, meaning you can contribute to our mission from almost anywhere in the world. We are seeking a design generalist who can seamlessly navigate the entire product design process. This includes framing challenging problems alongside product managers, working hand in hand with diverse stakeholders, conceptualizing data-rich interaction patterns, and validating your innovative solutions with subject matter experts. You will bring a strong product thinking mindset, adeptly balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in translating data complexity into clear, actionable workflows that our engineering teams can confidently build.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Design Lifecycle: Drive initiatives from initial problem framing and information architecture right through to UI design, thorough validation, and final implementation quality assurance.
Strategic Product Partnership: Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to help define product strategy and roadmaps, ensuring design excellence aligns with overarching business goals.
User-Centered Advocacy: Champion the user experience through dedicated research, continuous usability testing, and ongoing feedback loops with our subject matter experts.
Complex Interaction Design: Design sophisticated, data-dense interaction patterns and workflows that skillfully simplify complex information, making it accessible and actionable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Clearly articulate design decisions, proactively solicit feedback, and iterate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.
Mentorship and Leadership: Guide and inspire fellow team members through your design leadership and expertise.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Product Designer, with a significant portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design ownership on complex projects.
Demonstrated ability to effectively balance user needs, technical constraints, and critical business goals.
Expertise in designing for intricate, data-rich applications, ideally within enterprise or B2B environments.
Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; you can articulate design decisions and rationale with clarity and conviction.
Solid experience with user research methodologies and practical usability testing.
A deep understanding of information architecture and fundamental interaction design principles.
The ability to thrive and innovate in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for this worldwide role.
