Overview: The Opportunity

As our Senior People Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing our company's most valuable asset: our people. This 12-month contract position is fully remote, welcoming applications from anywhere in the world. You will be instrumental in building and supporting key programs across the entire employee experience, ensuring our team members are engaged, supported, and empowered as Roofr continues its rapid expansion. What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

Design and implement engaging onboarding and offboarding experiences that set our new hires up for success and ensure a smooth, positive departure.
Manage and optimize our HRIS, maintaining accurate employee data and generating insightful reports to support strategic decision making.
Develop and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with global labor laws and fostering a fair, consistent workplace.
Administer total rewards programs, including benefits enrollment, compensation analysis, and leave management, providing exceptional support to our team.
Act as a primary resource for employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on a wide range of People Operations topics.
Support performance management cycles, offering tools and resources that empower managers and employees to achieve their goals.
Contribute to culture initiatives and employee engagement programs, helping to maintain Roofr's unique and supportive environment.
Collaborate with leadership to identify People Operations needs and proactively develop solutions that align with business objectives.

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

You have at least 5 years of progressive experience in a People Operations or HR Generalist role, ideally within a fast paced, high growth technology company.
Demonstrated experience in a global, remote work environment is a significant advantage.
You possess a deep understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements across various jurisdictions.
Exceptional organizational skills and an eagle eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all People Operations processes and data.
You are an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, able to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels.
A proactive approach to problem solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms and other People Operations tools.
You are thoughtful, empathetic, and possess strong judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.
Experience working on contract roles or project based People Operations initiatives is a plus.
