Overview
In this role, you will take ownership of our global raw materials sourcing strategy, with a heavy emphasis on quality, cost efficiency, and ethical production. By pairing traditional procurement rigor with advanced analytics and automation, you will help unlock incredible value for millions of shoppers while advancing our sustainability commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day focus centers on driving global material strategy and executing high-level supplier management. Everyday tasks will include the following priorities.
- Design and execute comprehensive procurement strategies for raw materials, textiles, and packaging across core product lines.
- Identify, audit, and onboard tier-two suppliers and material mills that meet strict criteria for quality, sustainability, and production scalability.
- Negotiate master agreements, volume discounts, and payment terms to protect margins while preserving strong vendor relationships.
- Partner closely with product design, technical development, and production teams to forecast raw material demands and prevent supply bottlenecks.
- Establish clear material quality benchmarks, risk mitigation plans, and supplier scorecards to ensure accountability across our vendor network.
- Champion sustainable, circular, and traceable material initiatives that align with our brand ethos and environmental promises.
- Harness data models, inventory signals, and market trends to capitalize on raw material price movements and optimize fabric commitments.
Requirements
Candidates who succeed in this position bring deep industry know-how and a builders mindset to the table. We look for individuals with the following qualifications.
- Extensive background in global procurement, materials sourcing, or supply chain management, ideally within apparel, home textiles, or fast-growing consumer retail.
- Demonstrated experience dealing directly with international fabric mills, yarn spinners, and raw material manufacturers across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
- Superb commercial negotiation skills paired with a deep understanding of textile costing mechanics and global commodity pricing.
- Strong quantitative aptitude with the ability to turn messy supply chain datasets into clear, actionable business strategies.
- Familiarity with environmental certifications, sustainable fiber standards, and traceability systems.
- High comfort level operating autonomously within an agile, fast-moving, and fully distributed team environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities across diverse international cultures and business functions.
What You'll Gain
