At Close, we are building a communication first, AI powered CRM that helps small businesses sell more without getting bogged down by busywork. Since 2013, we have stayed proudly bootstrapped and profitable. That means we answer to our customers instead of outside investors. Our team of 120 people works one hundred percent remotely, and we are currently looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Growth squad.

Overview

If you love running experiments, optimizing user funnels, and building lightning fast interfaces that directly drive business metrics, this position belongs on your radar. You will partner closely with product managers and designers to shape the user acquisition and expansion experience. We care deeply about clean code, smooth animations, and pixel perfection.

Our Tech Stack

Our frontend is a modern single page TypeScript web app built in React. We bundle using Vite and target contemporary browsers. We rely on Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, and Chromatic for testing and visual regression. Our user interface updates in near real time via WebSockets and WebRTC, styled with CSS modules, and performance tuned with route based code splitting. We also maintain our own custom design system documented extensively in Storybook.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, build, and ship high impact growth experiments and conversion features
Collaborate with product and design teams from early wireframes in Figma to production code
Optimize frontend performance to ensure swift page loads and seamless user journeys
Write robust tests using Vitest and Playwright to maintain high code quality
Leverage our custom design system and contribute to its ongoing evolution

Requirements

Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern frontend tooling
Deep understanding of web performance optimization techniques and conversion rate best practices
Experience collaborating closely with product designers and backend engineers
A keen eye for UI and UX details that elevate the user experience
Comfort working autonomously in a fully remote environment based in the USA
