Overview: Your Impact at edubily

We are seeking a proactive and skilled (Senior) Finance Manager to join our fully remote, worldwide team. This is a one-year fixed term contract, with an exciting option for permanent employment. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our finance department operates reliably, efficiently, and with a forward-thinking approach. You will bring your keen eye for numbers, processes, and interconnected systems to create vital transparency, enabling robust strategic decisions across the company. You will optimize our financial and controlling processes, acting as a trusted point of contact for both internal teams and external partners. Essentially, you'll be central to our finance operations, guaranteeing the smooth flow of all financially relevant activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage our corporate controlling functions, providing critical insights.
Drive the annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, collaborating closely with leadership.
Develop and present regular, comprehensive financial reports to management and the executive board.
Identify and implement improvements across our financial and controlling workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Act as a key sparring partner for internal departments on financial matters, providing expert advice and support.
Liaise effectively with external partners, including auditors and tax advisors, ensuring compliance and strong relationships.
Monitor financial performance against targets, analyzing variances and proposing corrective actions.
Contribute significantly to strategic financial planning and business development initiatives.

Requirements

A strong academic background in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Extensive professional experience (ideally 4+ years) in finance, controlling, or a similar role, preferably within a D2C, e-commerce, or fast-growing digital environment.
Demonstrated expertise in corporate controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Exceptional analytical skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
Proficiency in relevant financial software and strong Excel skills are a must.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and trust with various stakeholders.
Fluency in both German and English, verbally and in writing, is essential for this role.
A genuine interest in health, nutrition, and edubily's mission would be a distinct advantage.
