You will lead the charge in scaling this new fintech offering from its initial stages to a massive success, working across lead qualification, anomaly detection, fraud prevention, and underwriting. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the development of sophisticated data models for lead qualification, identifying high-potential customers for our Capital products.
Implement robust anomaly detection and fraud prevention systems, safeguarding our platform and customers.
Build and refine underwriting models, accurately assessing risk and opportunity for financial offerings.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to translate business needs into data solutions.
Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses, analyze results, and iterate on models for continuous improvement.
Communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders, guiding strategic decisions.
Establish best practices for data science within the Capital team, ensuring data integrity and model reliability.

Requirements

Demonstrable experience as a Senior Data Scientist, ideally with a focus on financial products or fintech.
Deep expertise in lead qualification, anomaly detection, fraud prevention, or underwriting models.
Proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.
Strong programming skills in Python or R, along with SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
A proven track record of shipping data science models into production environments.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset for building new business lines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences.
A self-starter mentality, comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, greenfield environment.
