Overview

Look4IT is partnering with an international consulting leader, specializing in SAP transformation, to find an exceptional Senior Consultant SAP Utilities. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity where you will be instrumental in large-scale programs supporting the modernization of the German energy market. As energy companies transition from SAP IS-U to SAP S/4HANA Utilities, integrate smart metering technologies, and adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes, your expertise will be key. You will work closely with energy suppliers, distribution network operators (DSOs), and metering service providers (MSBs), designing, implementing, and optimizing business-critical SAP Utilities processes to shape future-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert advice to utility companies on their SAP S/4HANA Utilities transformation initiatives.
Analyze and optimize existing SAP IS-U and SAP S/4HANA Utilities environments for enhanced performance and efficiency.
Lead and support end-to-end migration projects, covering everything from initial assessment and rigorous testing through to successful cutover and go-live.
Design and significantly improve processes within critical areas, including:

Market Communication (MaKo)
Billing

Requirements

Demonstrable senior-level experience with SAP IS-U and a strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Utilities.
Proven track record in SAP transformation projects specifically within the utilities sector.
In depth knowledge of the German energy market, especially concerning Market Communication (MaKo) processes.
Experience in end-to-end project lifecycle management, from design and implementation to optimization.
Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of advising clients at various levels.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Fluency in both German and English is highly advantageous given the market focus.
