Overview

As part of our Edge Platform organization, you will create foundational building blocks used by every single Twilio customer and internal engineering team. You will directly impact how internet traffic flows into our ecosystem, ensuring speed, reliability, and security at every turn. Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and scale high-throughput edge services responsible for ingesting Web Console and API traffic.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust infrastructure building blocks.
Optimize system performance, latency, and availability across global cloud environments.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive architectural improvements to prevent future bottlenecks.
Mentor junior engineers and advocate for engineering best practices across the organization.

Requirements

Extensive experience building and maintaining large-scale cloud software and distributed systems.
Strong background in modern programming languages and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
Deep understanding of networking protocols, API design, and traffic management at scale.
A proactive mindset with a strong ability to collaborate asynchronously in a remote-first environment.
