Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage robust cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure that meets exact mission needs.
Lead engineering efforts spanning IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid environments with a focus on reliability and scale.
Write and maintain pristine Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Bicep.
Keep our systems locked down by enforcing strict compliance with DHS security frameworks including NIST 800 53 and FedRAMP.
Collaborate closely with cybersecurity experts to build inherently secure architectures from the ground up.
Drive cloud migration and legacy modernization projects to help the agency stay ahead of the curve.
Monitor system performance, optimize cloud costs, and troubleshoot thorny issues with deep root cause analysis.
Mentor junior engineers and share your technical wisdom to help the whole team grow.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who brings deep technical expertise in cloud architecture alongside a strong background in security compliance. You should feel right at home writing Infrastructure as Code and navigating the nuances of AWS and Azure environments. Experience working within federal security frameworks like FISMA or FedRAMP is a major plus.
