As our new SEM Specialist, you will sit within the Forbes Advisor Performance Marketing team and drive acquisition efforts for a dedicated business vertical. Reporting directly to the SEM Manager, you will work alongside editors, analysts, and fellow marketers to optimize campaigns that reach millions of readers globally. Your daily focus will be turning complex market trends into profitable search strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize large scale paid search campaigns across multiple search engines and global geographies.
- Conduct rigorous keyword research, ad copy testing, and landing page alignment to maximize quality scores and conversion rates.
- Analyze performance metrics daily and report insights, budget pacing, and ROI trends to the SEM Manager.
- Collaborate closely with SEO and content teams to ensure cohesive organic and paid visibility.
- Identify emerging opportunities within consumer finance, insurance, travel, and other core Forbes verticals.
Requirements
- Proven track record of managing substantial paid search budgets with positive ROI.
- Deep familiarity with major advertising platforms like Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
