The Role
As a Sales Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our business operations, promoting our mechanical and electrical engineering solutions to key industrial hubs in Agbara, Ota, Atan, and beyond. You will play a pivotal role in identifying new market opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and delivering the technical support that our clients rely on to optimize their manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, cultivate, and manage sales opportunities within the manufacturing and FMCG sectors.
- Present and sell high-quality mechanical and electrical engineering products and equipment.
- Conduct site visits, technical presentations, and demonstrations to provide bespoke client solutions.
- Draft comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, as well as formal tender documents.
- Negotiate contracts to drive revenue growth while achieving profitability targets.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams to ensure project success from proposal to post-sales support.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience in technical sales, specifically within the mechanical or electrical engineering space.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, and the FMCG sector.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, coupled with a strong aptitude for business development.
- Drive: A proven track record of hitting sales targets and managing high-value stakeholder relationships.
