Role Overview

The Rig Supervisor III is an offshore-based leadership position reporting directly to the Wells Operations Superintendent. In this role, you will be the primary driver of success on the rig, overseeing a multidisciplinary team to execute critical drilling and completion procedures. This position demands a mix of technical mastery, outstanding leadership, and an uncompromising commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

As a Rig Supervisor III, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• On-Site Supervision: Providing direct, day-to-day on-site leadership and supervision for all well operations offshore Nigeria.
• HSE and Risk Management: Keeping the Operations Superintendent and Lead Operations Supervisor informed on critical aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Work Management, Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS), and any significant well abnormalities.
• Technical Collaboration: Working hand-in-hand with on-site geologists, reservoir specialists, and drilling/completion engineers to ensure seamless workflow execution.
• Procedural Excellence: Ensuring all planned drilling and completion procedures are followed precisely, optimized for efficiency, and conducted in the safest manner possible.
• OIMS Implementation: Enforcing the Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) on the rig, ensuring all operations strictly align with the Wells OIMS Manual.
• Equipment and Asset Management: Overseeing the proper maintenance of rig and third-party equipment, while managing a robust inventory of materials and supplies to prevent operational downtime.
• Regulatory Compliance: Guaranteeing that all offshore operations fully comply with government directives and relevant industry regulations.
• Contingency Planning: Implementing strict pollution control measures and ensuring all personnel understand and are ready to execute emergency contingency plans.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining highly accurate and detailed records regarding daily operations, equipment status, and technical evaluations.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of active experience in the oil and gas industry. Applications without this minimum experience will not be considered.
