Overview

As a Bidfast Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our operations, primarily focusing on the strategic acquisition of salvage vehicles on behalf of IAA. Your expertise will ensure we submit highly competitive bids, maximizing our chances of profitably reselling these vehicles at auction. Beyond the bids, you will also be responsible for diligently verifying all correct title documents for sale. This position extends to crucial customer service functions, where you will act as a mentor to newer CSRs and skillfully resolve escalated customer service situations. When your Supervisor or Manager is unavailable, you will confidently step into management duties, working closely with provider management to resolve any disputes that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

Strategically identify and acquire salvage vehicles for IAA, always with an eye toward maximizing profitability.
Craft highly competitive bids designed to secure vehicles and ensure successful resale outcomes at auction.
Diligently verify all necessary title documents, ensuring a smooth and compliant sales process from start to finish.
Serve as a valuable mentor and guide for newer Customer Service Representatives, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their growth.
Skillfully handle and resolve escalated customer service inquiries, maintaining high satisfaction levels and building strong relationships.
Perform essential management duties when your Supervisor or Manager is out of office, keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Collaborate closely with provider management to efficiently resolve any disputes or complex issues, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.

Requirements

Proven experience in a role involving purchasing, bidding, or vehicle salvage acquisition.
Strong understanding of vehicle titles, documentation processes, and compliance requirements.
Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills, with a track record of handling complex situations.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.
A proactive problem-solver with strong decision-making capabilities and a keen business sense.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high productivity in a remote setting.
Comfortable working on a Pacific Standard Time (PST) schedule, regardless of your physical location.
