As a Backend Django Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing the foundational architecture that powers our products. Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement backend services and APIs using Python, Django, and frameworks like DRF.
Design and evolve our domain model within the database, ensuring clean, well-structured schemas and relationships are always maintained.
Implement sophisticated algorithmic and AI logic within the backend, covering areas such as scoring, ranking, routing, and complex decision rules.
Produce pragmatic, production-ready code that is easy to understand, test, and iterate upon by the team.
Prioritize correctness and optimize performance through efficient queries, intelligent indexing, and lean responses for all services.
Work closely with the product team, translating innovative ideas into precise technical designs and API endpoints.
Actively contribute to shaping our engineering culture, defining patterns, conventions, and improving our development and release processes as we expand.

Requirements

We are seeking an engineer with a strong foundation and a passion for backend development.

Proven professional experience as a Backend Engineer, specifically with Python and Django.
Solid understanding and practical experience with Django REST Framework (DRF) or similar API frameworks.
Expertise in database design, schema modeling, and writing optimized queries.
Experience implementing complex algorithmic logic or AI components in a production environment.
A keen eye for performance optimization and scalability in backend systems.
