Overview
If you have ever wondered what keeps the digital world humming behind the scenes, data center infrastructure is the answer. We are looking for a Regional Data Center Controls Quality Engineer to step in and lead the charge on our next wave of builds. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity that gives you the freedom to make a massive impact from wherever you call home. You will be the vital link ensuring our building management systems, power monitoring networks, and automation platforms are deployed flawlessly from the drawing board to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
You will wear multiple hats and keep complex projects on track. Your daily focus will involve guiding system integrators, validating system integrity, and driving strict standardization across all construction phases. When challenges arise on site, you will step up as the primary point of escalation to resolve controls issues quickly. Working closely with general contractors and internal teams, you will make sure every piece of hardware and software meets our rigorous safety, reliability, and quality standards.
- Oversee the selection, evaluation, and performance of system integrators and controls contractors.
- Drive quality assurance initiatives, system calibrations, and rigorous testing protocols.
- Act as the ultimate technical authority and escalation point for controls-related roadblocks.
- Validate system design, sequence of operations, and overall performance through commissioning and turnover.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you bring a robust mix of technical controls engineering expertise and steady project management experience. You know your way around building management systems, electrical power monitoring, programmable logic controllers, and supervisory control and data acquisition platforms. Strong communication skills are a must since you will be coordinating with global partners, contractors, and internal stakeholders every single day.
- Extensive background in controls engineering within mission-critical environments or data centers.
- Proven track record managing system integrators and large-scale technical projects.
- Deep familiarity with BMS, EPMS, PLC, and SCADA platforms.
- Ability to travel occasionally to project sites worldwide as needed.
What You'll Gain
You get to work with a cutting-edge team pushing the boundaries of data center infrastructure. Because this role is fully remote and global, you enjoy incredible autonomy while collaborating with top-tier engineering talent around the world. We offer competitive compensation, continuous learning opportunities, and the chance to shape the physical backbone of the internet.
